Two stabbing victims have spoken about how the ordeal changed their lives after their attacker was jailed for 11 years.

Thomas Mahasoh, 41, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday (January 9).

He attacked two men with a large kitchen knife at a party held near Crawley Lawn Tennis Club, in Hazelwick Avenue, at 3.45am on July 7 last year.

He had pleaded not guilty to two counts of grievous bodily harm at the start of the trial but changed his plea to guilty part way through.

Lincoln Kombo, 18, was stabbed in the stomach and a man, aged 20, was stabbed in the leg.

Both victims had attended the birthday party together.

Mr Kombo said his wound, which was initially life threatening, had completely changed his life.

He said: “I haven’t been out since. I’ve really changed.”

He underwent surgery and spent two weeks in hospital.

He added: “It took months to recover. The pain was too much.”
