TWO people were taken to hospital following a collision between a car and a scooter.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene around 6.25pm on Tuesday (January 3) in Worth Park Avenue, near Grattons Drive, Pound Hill.
The 51-year old rider of the green Honda scooter was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from several fractures and the 62-year-old blue Citroen car driver was taken to the East Surrey Hospital with minor injuries.
It is thought the Citroen was turning right into Worth Park Avenue when it collided with the scooter, which was travelling east bound along the avenue.
The road was closed for over an hour whilst the casualties were attended to.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the collision to please call 101 quoting serial 1792 of 3/1.
