Police have identified a man who fell to his death from the roof of County Mall.
Police and paramedics were called after Joshua McGuire, 20, of Barkham Avenue, Streatham, South London, was seen on the roof of the building at 10.44pm on August 25.
A police statement said: “He was in a distressed state and local police officers went to a nearby vantage point on the building and began to speak to him.
“However at 11.50pm he fell from the roof to the ground and despite the efforts of local police officers and paramedics he tragically died at the scene.”
A post-mortem examination concluded that he died from head injuries.
Standard Life Investments owns the building. A spokesman said: “As with any incident of this nature, we will review our processes to ensure they are as robust as possible.”
An inquest into the death was opened and adjourned to a date to be fixed.
