Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Gossops Green last night (July 2).
The appeal follows an altercation between two men which took place at around 9.20pm in the Gossops Drive and Capel Lane area.
The 29-year-old victim was stabbed in the chest but was not seriously injured.
He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he received treatment.
Detective Inspector Rachel Carr said “We believe that victim may know the suspect but this is unconfirmed at this time.
“The suspect is described as Asian, between 5’ 9” and 6’, of large build and between 25 and 35-years-old. He was wearing a dark North Face cap, a dark coloured Puma jumper and blue jeans.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, as it happened near the shops in the neighbourhood, to come forward and speak to us.”
