Police link catalytic converter thefts

Sussex Police has linked eight catalytic converter thefts in Crawley.

Officers have appealed for witnesses after thieves removed the vehicle parts in Broadfield, Langley Green, Northgate and Manor Royal from Tuesday last week to Monday (May 12 - 18).

Converters were stolen from Volkswagen Sharans parked in Coachmans Drive, Broadfield, between Wednesday and Thursday and in Fennel Crescent, Broadfield, between Tuesday and Thursday.

Six Mercedes Sprinter vans had their catalytic converters stolen: in Maiden Lane, Langley Green overnight on Saturday; Compton Way, Northgate between 4.30pm on Sunday and 5.55am on Monday; and in Kelvin Way, Newton Road, The Belle Centre, and Compton Fields, Manor Royal between 1.15pm on Saturday and 7am on Monday.
