Suspected human bones have been sent for analysis after they were discovered near a pond in Pease Pottage on Wednesday (January 28).
A Sussex Police spokesperson said a member of the public who was fishing at the pond in Parish Lane found the bones on Monday (January 26).
The spokesperson said: “We are currently searching the area around the lake to see if there are any more bones but none have been found so far. We are not providing any interviews or further information at this time.”
