A woman in her 90s had £400 stolen from her home during a distraction burglary in Horley.
Detectives from East Surrey CID are appealing for information after the burglary, which happened between 11.50am and 12.30pm on Tuesday (November 25).
The victim was home in The Crescent when she answered the door to a man who claimed he was there to carry out maintenance work.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said the man forced his way into the house and took £250 from the woman .
He then stole £150 from elsewhere in the property.
Detective Constable James Vernon, said: “I would ask anyone who either saw anything suspicious in this area around the time of the offence or who believes the offender may have also visited their address to contact officers with information.”
