Objects thrown at two more buses in Crawley

Two more buses have been attacked as they travelled through Broadfield, Crawley.

The buses were at Broadfield Barton at 7pm and Creasys Drive at 7.30pm last night (October 13) when objects were thrown at them.

No damage was caused and no one was hurt.

Metrobus cancelled all services to Broadfield until 1am.

On Sunday (October 12) a woman passenger was injured after a hockey ball was thrown through the window of a bus as it travelled along Pelham Drive.

The driver called the control room to report a window had been smashed as the bus travelled along Pelham Drive.

Paramedics treated her for facial injuries before taking her to East Surrey Hospital.

A second bus had an object thrown through one of its windows in Coachman’s Drive at 8.13pm the same evening.

No one was hurt.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said officers were investigating a number of other incidents in the area on Sunday night, which may be linked to a group of youths who were seen in the area.

A tree was set alight and a fence was broken down in Balmoral Court and a bin cupboard was set alight near the Imperial public house around 9.20pm.
