A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary from two outbuildings.

The 20-year-old Crawley Down man was arrested following the thefts from two outbuildings at a residential address in Furnace Wood, Crawley Down, just off the A264, in the early hours of Wednesday, August 20.

He was later released on police bail until October 27 while enquiries continue.

Sussex Police officers reminded residents in the Crawley Down and Snow Hill area who have sheds and outbuildings to ensure they are secured and have appropriate lighting and alarms fitted.

Sergeant Graeme Prentice, of East Grinstead, police said: “Please check your outbuildings and make sure they are secure, to help prevent this type of theft.

“If you seek further advice please contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101. But if you see any suspicious activity please dial 999 at once.”
