An 18-year-old woman has accepted a police caution for defrauding a bus company by altering tickets to allow her to travel for free on buses in Crawley.
The woman from Maidenbower admitted fraud by false representation after she altered the dates on bus tickets on March 11 and 25 so she did not have to pay on Metrobus, said Sussex Police.
A Metrobus spokesman said: “Metrobus has a zero tolerance approach towards ticket fraud on our buses. We will always take further action against anyone attempting to commit such acts.”
