Raiders forced a woman to open a pub safe at knifepoint.
Police were called to the Greyhound Pub in Charlwood yesterday (Thursday, March 13).
A woman in her 30s was woken at around 5.30am by two men who threatened her with a knife before forcing her to open the safe.
The pair fled with cash.
Detective Inspector Paul Gordon said: “At this stage in the investigation we believe the property was specifically targeted because the burglars made very detailed demands and I am sure someone will be able to link the pieces together and provide us with information on the offenders.
“Has someone you know been spending time in this area? Were they away from home during the early hours of this morning? Have they been acting suspiciously since the offence? If you believe you know the person responsible, please provide us with information.
“I understand, for whatever reason some people may wish to provide information anonymously and they can do this through the independent charity Crimestoppers who can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
“If you can help us in anyway with our investigation, please contact us as a matter of urgency and all information passed to us will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
“This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim and we will do all we can to bring those responsible to justice.”
One of the raiders is described as white and spoke with a London accent.
A full area search was carried out by response officers following the event and uniformed officers from the Mole Valley Safer Neighbourhood Team are currently in the area assisting detectives with their investigation.
