A RECOMMENDATION to allow street traders on the Broadway and the Broad Walk in the town centre has been approved.
Crawley Borough Council’s licensing committee has approved the recommendation to change the two streets from prohibited streets to consent streets.
A council spokesperson said: “Licensing committee approved the recommendation for the changed designation of the Broadway and the Broad Walk to allow street trading from January 22.
“A policy for street trading will go to Licensing Committee in March.”
The recommendation was put to the committee to update the current guidelines and to ensure Crawley is as competitive as its surrounding towns.
